The 2011 Capital Area Race Series, which included seven races this year, has come to a conclusion. I participated in all seven races and was ranked as the number one male runner in the 50-54 years of age group. I really trained hard this year and feel good about this accomplishment. I’m happy to note several other runners from our Toothaches Team at Northeast Delta Dental also placed in their age groups, including Jim Green (2nd in the 35-39 group), Siobhan Droney (23rd in the 40-44 group), Patti Bernier (7th in the 45-49 group), Peg Michaud (8th in the 45-49 group), Joe Michaud (12th in the 45-49 group), Margaret Ramos (11th in the 50-54 group), Tom Walton (1st in the 60-64 group), and Mike Tunks (5th in the 60-64 group). Congratulations to my teammates; I’m proud of everyone for their participation. We’ll all continue running in other scheduled races this season and we’ve already begun the planning for next year’s CARS series. I look forward to seeing you all out there.

Tom, as I have said before, you should look into doing either the Disney half marathon or the full marathon. It really is a unique experience.
