Recently, the Delta Dental Institute released its 2024 Community Impact Report, highlighting more than $119 million in investments to improve oral health across all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico. These efforts impacted over 15 million lives and reinforce Delta Dental’s role as the nation’s largest oral health philanthropist.
Delta Dental’s community impact investments focused on closing oral health care gaps for older adults, veterans, and rural communities while strengthening oral health education for children. These investments bring Delta Dental’s total community contributions over the past 15 years to more than $2.3 billion, a testament to its long-standing mission to advance oral and overall health.
Delta Dental Plans Association is the not-for-profit national association of 39 independent Delta Dental companies, including Northeast Delta Dental. We are honored to be a contributor to this investment but would be remiss if we did not call out the organizations “on the ground” that made it possible.
In Maine, Northeast Delta Dental invested $1,421,903 impacting 391,920 people, through programs and initiatives such as the Dental Lifeline Network (DLN) to help provide comprehensive dental care to 70 people with disabilities and complicated health conditions and seniors in need.
Northeast Delta Dental donated $6,055,215 in New Hampshire, affecting 17,275 people including the Crotched Mountain Foundation to improve oral health outcomes for clients.
In Vermont, $694,826 was spent helping 9,812 people including the People’s Health & Wellness Clinic to provide dental services to individuals who would otherwise not have access to care.
We are very fortunate to have such dedicated partners throughout Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. With their dedication, community networks, and intimate knowledge of the local landscape and its residents, we are able to carry out our goal of improving access to oral health care and education.
Many thanks for your partnership. Together we can.
