Courtney Morin celebrated for her influence in the Granite State

The Northeast Delta Dental family enjoys celebrating the successes of our employee colleagues. Recently, Courtney Morin, our Vice President, Actuarial & Underwriting and a member of our senior management team, was selected to appear in New Hampshire 200, a special edition published by New Hampshire Business Review (NHBR).

This third edition of New Hampshire 200 represents a culmination of a year-long search by the NHBR editorial team to identify and spotlight many of the state’s business leaders having the most influence across several industry sectors and who help make our state a unique and wonderful place in which to live, work, and recreate. We salute and applaud Courtney, and we couldn’t agree more with the decision of the NHBR selection committee to include her in its April issue.

Courtney joined us in 2004 as an associate actuary after graduating from Clark University. During the ensuing years, she earned credentials as a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. To round out her leadership development, she also graduated from the Leadership New Hampshire Class of 2021.

Courtney manages a department of five. Included among her responsibilities are rate development and management, pricing, setting reserves, and assisting in product design for individual and group dental and vision products. She was a valued member of the New Hampshire Medicaid Adult Dental Benefit Planning Working Group, helping to eliminate some of the barriers to establishing a dental benefit for adults on Medicaid. Courtney successfully juggles her career, spending time with her family, and investing in the community. She serves on the Board of Advisors for Stay Work Play New Hampshire, the Board of Directors for Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains and the Board of Trustees for Leadership NH.

If you are a NHBR subscriber, you’ll receive a copy of this special edition in April. If not, find information on ordering a copy and details of a reception celebrating the 2024 New Hampshire 200 to be held April 11 at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord at New Hampshire 200 – NH Business Review (nhbr.com).

That Courtney is willing to share what her actuarial career has taught her was evidenced earlier this year, when she was a speaker and panelist at the NHBR2023 Powered by Women event. As NHBR describes it, the intent of this event is to “showcase the drive, conviction and persistence of women leaders in the Granite State” and “connect female leaders through these stories that will leave them feeling empowered and informed to succeed in their endeavors.” Women leaders from different career backgrounds gave 10-minute presentations about their personal and professional growth, then participated in a 45-minute panel discussion.
