Running and Baseball

Today, 4/3/10, there was a fun 5k road race in Concord, organized by the SEA.  Lots of great people.  I did a 20.25.   Runners all go through the same pain so everyone is joyful after the race.     Sunday, 4/4/10, is opening day for the Red Sox.   Each April, when opening day hits, it’s the sign that spring is with us, and we put away our skis and other winter gear and get ready for a new season, a re-birth.    Red Sox fans are generational — my youngest daughter, Gabbie, chats with her grandmother (my mother) about baseball, the players and the stats, and what’s the latest with the Red Sox.  It’s really cool.  So, to me, Running and Baseball both help keep the family together.
