Leadership

On Friday, August 21st, Northeast Delta Dental’s (Maine) Governance Committee, along with senior management, interviewed five outstanding citizens of Maine for one board position on the Delta Dental Plan of Maine board of directors. Today, Sunday, August 23, I am in the Northeast Delta Dental office catching up on corporate anniversary notes which I send to all employee colleagues on or as close as possible to their company anniversary dates.    In doing the notes to my employee teammates, I was struck by the great combination of longer term employees, coupled with a sprinkling of employee colleagues celebrating their first or second year anniversary.    It really is a combination of seasoned, expert and experienced employees, combined with the fresh insights and approaches of our newer colleagues that makes Northeast Delta Dental a Juggernaut in customer service, innovation and mission sensitivity (oral health) activities.   Being an employer of choice, helps us attract and retain the best employee colleagues, and also, as mentioned at the top, helps us attract outstanding potential board members for without excellence in governance and support from our board members,  employees cannot be the best they can be.   I hope folks don’t read this until Monday, and that you are enjoying Sunday with your families/friends.    Signing off for now, Tom R.
