Politics Up

On August 8 I hosted a roundtable of a group of 30 Concord-area business owners with former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney. We asked some hard questions covering a range of topics including job creation, tax reform, the economy, green initiatives, Medicare, education, technology, globalization, regulations and the divisiveness in Washington. One of the great things about living in New Hampshire is our ability to rub elbows with politicians at the ground level in everyday settings. Over the past decade, Northeast Delta Dental has had dozens of presidential candidates visit our campus to meet and chat with our employees to get the pulse of the country. I love that I can pick up the phone and dial a direct line to our governor or our representatives and have a one-on-one conversation with our elected officials. Let’s hope we can all find common ground and lead the world to new heights.
