Have you visited your dental office this year? Everyone needs to visit their dentist at least once a year and every child should visit the dentist by age one. If you wear dentures, you still need to see your dentist for routine oral evaluation, including oral cancer. Those who have dental insurance have no excuse for not making an annual visit to the dentist. Poor oral health, especially periodontal disease, may impact chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease and stroke. So, have you visited your dental office this year? If not, make the call today and set an appointment. Keep a healthy smile!
Because of the great plan I have, I get to go 4 times per year! That has improved my overall health tremendously!
Thanks Chris for commenting. Glad you are paying attention to your oral health, because as you’ve heard me say many times, without good oral health, one cannot have good overall health. Also, based on our saliva diagnostic project with USC, we know that some folks really should have four cleanings per year, while for other folks, 1 to 3 cleanings per year is more than sufficient. The old two cleanings per year standard was not based on Evidence Based Dentistry, rather, a vestige from toothpaste companies. Thanks again for writing.
