Friday, September 24, marked our annual Dr. Thurston Carpenter Memorial Golf Tournament. Proceeds from this event directly support a dental hygiene scholarship in his name at New Hampshire Technical Institute as well as our Prevent Abuse and Neglect through Dental Awareness (P.A.N.D.A.) program. Dr. Carpenter’s family and his countless friends from the dental community throughout Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont gathered at the Mount Washington Course in Bretton Woods on a perfect day in New Hampshire’s White Mountains. This year $20,000 was raised, an honorable tribute to a leader in his profession. Dr. Carpenter, Dartmouth College Class of 1945, passed away in December of 2003. He was a long-time beloved colleague of Northeast Delta Dental whose contribution to improving the oral health of our citizens continues on through the generosity of those whose lives he touched. We miss you, Dr. C!
