As the weather begins to warm up, I can’t help but reminisce about Concord Coalition to End Homelessness’ (CCEH) 12th Annual SouperFest that was held outdoors earlier this spring, at Concord’s White Park. We at Northeast Delta Dental were proud to sponsor CCEH and are excited that the event raised over $55,000.
From Pumpkin Apple Bisque, to Hungarian Mushroom Ale, to Smoked Brisket Chili, it was incredibly heart-warming to see those near and far arrive and enthusiastically pick up soup; some stayed to picnic in the sun and take in delightful music by the State Street Jazz Band.
“Fundraising is key to the survival of CCEH and the services we provide. BUT, the wonderful outpouring of energy and the participation of this amazing Greater Concord Community is what really makes SouperFest SOUPER,” shared CCEH in a statement.
Much like oral health, ending homelessness is important to Northeast Delta Dental and we stand by CCEH’s mission to eliminate chronic homelessness and build systems that effectively respond to the diverse needs of people experiencing homelessness. It is an honor to watch organizations like CCEH adapt and help those in need, even in times of crises.
While this isn’t CCEH’s first SouperFest, countless volunteers, sponsors, and others in the community came together to rally behind CCEH’s mission while enjoying soups and good cheer together, effectively sustaining the group’s largest fundraiser and raising awareness for a critical issue.
