Think Healthy Heart this Valentine’s Day


February is American Heart Month. By making healthy choices every day, you can reduce your risk of heart disease. Eat a healthy diet which includes fruits, vegetables and whole-grains and limit saturated fats, processed foods and salt. Exercise, even in moderation, makes a positive difference; find a buddy to help keep you motivated. Take time to relax and accentuate the positives in your life. If you smoke, quit, today; your doctor can help you with cessation programs. And periodontal disease has been linked to heart disease, so please brush and floss daily and visit your dentist twice a year. Take care of yourself for those you love
