Be thankful for your health

This Thanksgiving I am most thankful for my family’s health.  I am also thankful for my health, as it has been a long road to recovery from my knee injury last December. Almost a year later, I am grateful to be healed and back to running!  I stayed as active as possible during the healing process and I believe this contributed to my recovery.

While you are with your family this Thanksgiving I encourage you to celebrate your health together and participate in a 5k road race or walk.  Northeast Delta Dental is the proud sponsor of two family-friendly races taking place Thanksgiving Day – the Galloping Gobbler and the Fisher Cats Thanksgiving Day 5k.

The Galloping Gobbler is a four-mile race that departs from Bishop Brady High School’s Gobble Gobble - am I near the finish line?campus in Concord.  Proceeds from the race benefit the Bishop Brady Tuition Assistance Fund.  Learn more about this race here: http://www.bishopbrady.edu/page.cfm?p=480.

The Fisher Cats Thanksgiving Day 5k is a 3.1-mile race that departs and ends at the Northeast Delta Dental Stadium in Manchester.  The race route takes runners and walkers through Manchester’s historic mill yard.  Learn more about this race here: http://www.millenniumrunning.com/thanksgiving

I wish you and your family a healthy and happy Thanksgiving.

  1. Couldn’t agree more! I had a minor knee injury earlier this year that kept me sidelined and ever since I have been SO thankful for my health and ability to run!
